The York University Asian Business and Management Program (ABMP) was established in 1990. It was and continues to be a program based on an endowment by the federal government to promote economic and cultural relations in the Asia Pacific region. This is accomplished through the sponsorship of research, seminars, symposia, along with other academic events.
ABMP has been one of Canada's leaders in Asian research for over 25 years and one of the first institutions in Canada to provide professional development and management training to senior executives in the Chinese public and private sectors. The ABMP's domestic and international networks have enabled the delivery of a wide range of professional and management training programs to professionals in other parts of Asia as well, i.e. Vietnam and the Member States of Economic Cooperation Organ (ECO).
We feature a variety of options that can be adapted to suit the objectives of participants. All material is provided by distinguished civil servants, subject matter experts and senior executives from private sector. ABMP training programs ensure contemporary, practical courses taught in one of Canada's top universities York University. Affiliation with the internationally renowned Schulich School of Business and the Schulich Executive Education Centre provides trainees with a world class, state-of the-art, dynamic, interactive learning environment. Each year hundreds of senior civil servants from Asia realized valuable insights and have an increased capacity to bring their organizations to renewed levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
