City tours and Cultural Excursions

Outings range from tours of major capitals and urban centres such as Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City to local sports and cultural events such as baseball or hockey games and theatre productions.

All tours are private and personalized to the needs of the participants (including Chinese speaking guides, hotel arrangements and transportation.)

Toronto

The multicultural metropolis of Toronto will be 'home base' for participants undertaking ABMP management training programmes. Under the skyline of the CN Tower, one of the world's tallest freestanding structures, there is a world of history, shopping and events. From the financial district on Bay Street, boutiques on Queen Street or the shops and sites of Chinatown, Toronto has something to offer for everyone. The city displays both modern and historic architecture, from the marvelously engineered Rogers Centre to the 19th century majesty of the University of Toronto, participants will never be at a loss for something new to try or something undiscovered to explore.

Ottawa

Along the shores of the Ottawa River lined with scenic greenbelts, Canada's capital city presents a host of historical sites and attractions. From the copper roofs of Parliament Hill to the beauty of the Notre Dame Basilica, Ottawa presents yesteryear's charm along with its modern buildings. Visitors to the city will enjoy tours of the Parliament, the Royal Canadian Mint, the National Gallery of Art, the Museum of Civilization and the Bytown Market. Ottawa is an essential stop on any Canadian itinerary.

Niagara Falls

What trip to Canada would be complete without visiting the seventh natural wonder of the world, Niagara Falls? A tourist mecca of both natural and shopping variety, Niagara Falls is also home to one of Canada's largest casinos. The Las Vegas-like atmosphere of Clifton Hill, rushing water and incredible shopping makes any journey to the Falls both momentous and memorable. Whether exploring the Falls on foot, by boat or by helicopter, the serene power of the Horseshoe Crescent is romantic and awe-inspiring to newcomers and returnees alike. Enjoy the rainbow of colours that light up the liquid cascade and browse the sparkling streetscape of curio shops, museums and fine dining.

Montreal

Montreal, in the province of Quebec, is a combination of both old world and modern development. From fine dining at outdoor cafes and French restaurants, to the latest haute couture fashions and nightlife, Montreal encapsulates the vibrancy and excitement of Quebec and Canada all in one city. The 18th century and modern architecture set the tone for the beauty of Montreal. From splendid churches such as the Basilica of Notre Dame to the 1976 Olympic Sports Complex, tours, music and sports events are set amongst some of the most breathtaking examples of engineering and building in the world. Naturalists will enjoy also Montreal as well, exploring the ecosystems of the Montreal Biodome and the city's botanical gardens - the third largest in the world.

Quebec City

In the capital of French Canada, old-world charm blends majestically with modern style. Declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1985, Quebec City is truly a taste of Europe in the centre of Canada. From its position as a major port on the shores of the St. Lawrence River, Canada's major seaway, Quebec has always been of strategic importance to Canada. The Citadelle, a fortress built by the French in the 18th century, stands one of Canada's oldest military installations. Perhaps just as majestic is the Hotel Chateau Frontenac, whose copper roofs and majestic spires make it one of Canada's most famous hotels. Visitors can also explore battlefields such as the Plains of Abraham and the giant Parc des Champs de Bataille and enjoy the green fields where Canada's historic and decisive military battles took place.
