Academic Integrity Checklist for Faculty

Academic integrity is a major issue in academe. Studies done in the United States, Canada and in Europe indicate that cheating, plagiarism and multiple submissions of assignments are on the rise. This indicates a universal decrease in academic integrity.

York University is proud of the high quality programs it provides for our students. Our faculty and staff work hard to encourage high academic achievement by students. The University takes academic integrity very seriously: in addition to the strategies presented on this site, please visit an overview of Academic Integrity at York University from the Office of the Vice-President Academic.

The site is divided into four sections:

For Faculty

A variety of concrete strategies dealing with how faculty can encourage academic integrity in specific classroom situations.

For TAs
