York University invites alumni, students, friends and family back to campus for Homecoming 2014. Whether you’re visiting to cheer on the Lions or take part in one of the over 30 events happening across both campuses, there’s something for everyone!

Lions Cup Golf Tournament: Join the 14th annual Kenaidan-York University Lions Cup Golf Tournament (formerly Chair's Cup). Once again, we're coming together to raise funds for the next generation of global leaders. As York strives to provide excellence both in and outside the classroom, proceeds from this year's event will not only benefit our graduate students with funds matched 2:1 by provincial grants, but also support the University's athletics programs.

Thursday, Sept. 18

Career Conversations Panel—Discovering Careers in Kinesiology: Connect with alumni currently enjoying careers in kinesiology and other professions and get the inside scoop on how to break into these fields. During this panel, professionals will share their personal stories about starting out and how their career paths took them from graduation to where they are now. They'll talk about what knowledge, skills and experience helped them succeed in their jobs and what types of opportunities are available in this specialized area. The panel will be moderated by one of the Career Centre's team members followed by an open forum where students will have an opportunity to ask questions and network with panelists.

YUAA Annual General Meeting: Join us for our annual York University Alumni Association Annual General Meeting. The AGM includes the formal election of new directors, student recognition and a report on YUAA activities and alumni programs from the past year. We’ll also highlight what’s new on the alumni horizon!

Alumni Reception & Homecoming Launch Party: Join us for a night of celebration at our annual Alumni Reception & Homecoming Launch Party. Network with hundreds of fellow grads, York faculty and staff and our YUAA board. Catch up on what's new at York while enjoying good food and drink. You'll also have a chance to win some great raffle prizes!

York Circle Lecture & Lunch: A special Homecoming edition of York Circle, our signature lecture series featuring some of York's leading professors talking about their latest work and research.

Homecoming Carnival: Alumni, faculty, staff and students of Founders College are invited to attend a BBQ before the big game.

Football Game: Cheer for the York Lions as they take on the McMaster Marauders at York Stadium! Come for the game, tailgate party, food trucks and more, and be sure to stop by the college tents to say hi! The first 500 fans in the gate will receive a commemorative Homecoming giveaway.You could even win a three-night trip for two to New York City, presented by Merit Travel and WestJet Vacations ($2,000 value)!

Physical Education Class of ’74 Reunion: Join your classmates as they reunite for their 40th anniversary with campus tours and a reception.

Science @ 50! Join the Faculty of Science as they celebrate their 50th anniversary with a Chemistry Magic Show and tours of the Observatory and Life Sciences Building.

York Youth Connection: Join YYC as they celebrate their 40th anniversary with a reunion celebration.

Glendon College: Join fellow alumni at Glendon College for a walk in the valley followed by a celebration of Proctor Field House's 50th anniversary.

Glendon College: End Homecoming weekend with a visit to Glendon College to hear a plenary session with professors Guy Proulx, Andrew Clifford and Michael Baruciski. Afterwards stay for one of the many mixers.
