Interim grade report.

This is a summary of the grades in this course so far. These grades have been filed. The programme may amend them. Atkinson has a grade curve rubric which I have to follow, which is why some folks get what seem like better grades than the numbers appear to warrant.

We use the last 5 digits of the student ID to identify each person. They are quoted in numerical order.

You will notice several holes which we will have to update later. People whose grades are marked "pending" are folks for whom I know we will have to do an update. We have sick people, bereaved people, people having surgery, people who sent us garbled exam papers and who have been asked to provide replacements. That sort of thing. If you mailed the exam, we probably haven't got it yet. In due course, in the fuillness of time, we will catch up on all of those stray items. Pending grades will turn into something else. In a couple of cases Stephen Swales has yet to get to an item of marking. I have indicated this (A1 GRADE PENDING) and we'll get to those too. A number of folks have grades missing. I've checked and we don't have/have never recieved these items of work. Some of these folks have dropped the course but are still on the roll somehow. If you think we have made a mistake (arithmetic or grade recording) then we can fix this if you can show us what we did wrong.

My thanks to you all, and to our TAs who did so much to carry the course through the summer. I'm off on vacation as of Wednesday 19, returning September 7. If you need to send me frantic e-mails during this time, you will have to wait until I return. I'll deal with the admin at that point, file updates, correct records or whatever.
