On the first day we looked at the 1. Introduction and then at the 2. Fundamentals of radiation in radio astronomy.

On the second day we talked
about  3. Physics of radiation processes in radio astronomy. We have thermal radiation,
that is black body radiation and bremsstrahlung, and non-thermal radiation, that is cyclotron and synchrotron radiation and spectral line radiation.

23 October 2017
We covered the spectral line emission and then turned to Chapter 4 Radio telescopes - Antennas and Receivers.


30 October 2017
We talked about different antennas.


6 November 2017
We talked about the principle of superheterodyne receivers covered the computation of system teperatures.

13 November 2017
We finished Chapter 4 and talked about Neutral hydrogen observations in our Galaxy and in other galaxies (Chapter 5). The we turned to Chapter 6.
