Career Centre Workshop Descriptions

| What Can I Do With My Degree? | This workshop is for students who aren’t sure how their degree may relate to their career direction. It provides an overview of career exploration and shows students how the skills they are developing in their degree and the experiences they are gaining at York are building a foundation for their future. |
| How to Find a Summer Job | This workshop is for students who are looking for summer employment for summer 2010. |
| Interview Skills | This workshop is for students who would like to learn effective techniques for succeeding in employment or further education interviews. |
| Resume & Cover Letter Writing | This workshop is for students who would like to create a resume that presents their experiences, education and skills in a way that showcases their unique abilities, and a concise and interesting cover letter that invites employers to read their resumes. |
| Job Search Strategies | This workshop is for students who are looking for a job, whether it is a part-time job, summer job, or their first full-time job after graduation. Students will learn effective job search approaches and create a personalized plan to help them get the job they want. |
