Our course has a list serv established in order for us to communicate with each other electronically to discuss ideas on-line that we raise in tutorials and lectures.  You will be expected to `take part' in these discussions which entails, in the very least, logging on and reading comments posted by your classmates.  This aspect of course work is designed to provide you with an additional resource to help you familiarize yourself with the concepts and the literature of the course.  It is understood that discussion by email is informal and casual.  Towards the end of the course, tutorial leaders will give students an opportunity to assess their own success with this aspect of the course work.
