Question for Today’s Class – Games Cultivating an Affective Engagement with History

Isbister’s text primarily deals with the affective experience of playing games. As such, I was wondering if we could discuss how this affective engagement impacts how players comprehend history when they play games that deal with historical events? Does this type of interactive and affective engagement with history create more empathy (or other strong emotions) for historical actors than a film or a book would?
