Abstract: Despite being one of our most popular pastimes, music and its related literature pose significant challenges to library staff handling patron reference questions. Identifying songs, locating scores and recordings, finding biographical information on musical personalities: is it possible without music-specific subscription databases? Search strategies and common resources in print and onlinewill be demonstrated.
