Description:** This is a drop-in session. You may drop-in at any point between 12:00 and 2:00 pm (please arrive before 1:40 pm to ensure time to register)**
You may also want to register for the Career Centre's How to Find a Summer Job workshop immediately preceding this event from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm in Room 103 McLaughlin College. ** In order to apply for these jobs, you MUST BRING a copy of your resume along with your Social Insurance Number (S.I.N.) and some identification (eg. Birth Certificate, Driver's License, Passport) to verify that you are between the ages of 15 and 30 and eligible to work in Canada.** Are you looking for some extra help with your summer job search? If so, the YMCA's Summer Jobs Service provides personal assistance in matching you with employment opportunities in your fields of interest. Come to this drop-in session to register for this service if you are: - between the ages of 15 - 30, - intending to return to school in the fall, and - eligible to work in Canada (S.I.N. or work permit required). You will need to provide your Social Insurance Number (S.I.N.) or Work Permit and some identification to verify that you are between the ages of 15 and 30 and legally entitled to work in Canada (you will not need to leave a copy). You can then browse through a binder of job opportunities, fill out an application form and leave your resume to apply for the positions of your choice. Positions Recruiting For: Various positions such as camp counselors, camp sport or activity leader, retail sales and restaurant help; landscape architects, lifeguards; office assistants, software engineers, network administrators; servers, bartenders, tour guides, ticket agents and cruise managers; etc.
