Career Conversations are designed to provide students with an opportunity to explore a variety of careers within a specific field, connect with individuals currently working in their field of interest, and get the inside scoop from York Alumni who've been there.
Panel Discussions
During these panel discussions alumni professionals share their inspiring career stories and and discuss questions on topics such as:
- their personal career paths
- how their university education is relevant to their particular position
- the realities of the sectors they work in
- strategies for entering the sector
- opportunities within their fields
- resources for connecting with professionals in that field

International Webinars
Many York students and new graduates are interested in working abroad and particularly interested in hearing from York alumni who are currently living and working internationally. During these webinars alumni professionals share their inspiring career stories and and discuss questions on topics such as:
- how their career paths took them from graduation to working abroad
- answer questions about the skills, knowledge and experiences that have helped them enjoy a successful career in a foreign country
- share some of the challenges they have faced while working internationally
- provide tips on exploring international opportunities
