Career Consult

Don't see what you're looking for? Not sure where to start? You can meet with a Career Counsellor for a 20-minute Career Consult to get help determining your next step(s), including which services best meet your needs.

A Career Consult is a one-time appointment during which you will have the opportunity to briefly discuss your career concerns. The Career Counsellor may then provide you with a referral to another of the Career Centre's workshops or resources or a more in-depth Career Counselling appointment.

** Please note that resumés and cover letters cannot be reviewed during a Career Consult. If you would like assistance with your resumé or cover letter, please attend the Resumés & Cover Letters workshop.

Career Consults can be booked through the Career Centre's online system using your Passport York username and password (you will be required to sign up for an account on the system before you can register for any appointments on the system).

Approximately 8 Career Consult appointments are released every week at 4:00 pm on Fridays for the following week. If you can't find an appointment when you need it, you may wish to check the website daily as appointments sometimes become available due to last-minute cancellations.
