Job Search Advising
Do you have a specific job search question? Do you need tips and ideas to help you get to the next stage of your job search? We can help!
You can book a 20-minute Job Search Advising appointment with a Career Centre Job Search Advisor. We can briefly discuss one of the following during this 20-minute session:
- resources for finding jobs
- effective job search strategies
- ideas on how to expand your network
- tips to help with an upcoming interview
- answer specific questions regarding your resumé or cover letter (due to time limitations, it is not possible to provide a complete resume or cover letter feedback session * ).
- help you determine your next steps
Pre-registration is required.
Approximately 6 Job Search Advising appointments are released every week at 4:00 pm on Fridays for the following Wednesday.
If you can't find an appointment when you need it, you may wish to check the website daily as sometimes appointments become available due to last-minute cancellations. Alternatively, review the Career Centre website for other services, workshops or resources that can help lead you in the right direction.
* If you would like more assistance with your resumé or cover letter, please attend either the Resumé Writing and/or Cover Letter Writing workshop(s).
Book a Job Search Advising appointment on the Career Centre's online system using your Passport York username and password.
