Kristian RajroopKristian Rajroop
Youth Services Officer
Ministry of Children and Youth Services
 Alumnus: B.A. Criminology, 2008

Obtaining my post secondary education at York University has enabled me to learn many things and meet many people. Being involved in student governance, especially my experiences on the Faculty of Arts Student Council, has helped me to realize my calling to serve others. As a graduate of Arts with an Honours degree in Criminology, I have been able to use my degree to work within the Corrections field. Since graduating I have worked at the York Detention Centre (a detention/custody facility for young offenders), as a Youth Services Officer with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, and most recently have been offered employment as a Youth Services Officer with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. My Criminology degree has allowed me the opportunity to truly make a difference.
