Youth Without Shelter

Youth Without Shelter (YWS) is the singular emergency residence and referral agency in Etobicoke dedicated to providing shelter and support programs for homeless youth ages 16 to 24. YWS is not only able to offer a safe, warm bed for youth but has evolved to offer a full circle of care to over 1,000 homeless youth each year. At YWS the journey away from the street starts with the vision: ending homelessness one youth at a time, one step at a time.

Recruiting For: Tokens 4 Change fundraising event, preparing hygiene kits, Make-a-Meal either on-site or off site and bring it into the shelter, painting projects, food/juice drives, organize a collection drive of essential items for our young residents moving out, organize a fundraising event, yard work, gardening, organize a games night and Professional Services such as; tech support, artists, media/promotions/or marketing professionals

Skills: Dedicated, energetic, respectful volunteers that understand that the youth we serve may have experienced poverty and abuse. Most volunteering options do not require knowledge of a specific skills other than Professional services or cooking skills.
