In 2003 support from like minded people helped CHRY raise over $70,000 in pledges. Due to that success we were able to provide another year of award-winning diverse radio programming. We upgraded our CD, Cassette, MiniDisc and Record players as well as purchasing some important processing equipment.

This year in our 17th Fundrive we aim to reach the same heights. Funds raised will go towards much needed studio renovations and the purchase of two new broadcast consoles ($10,000 each!). It also helps with the ongoing costs of replacing headphones, microphones, turntables, needles, office equipment and supplies.

The slogan this year is CHRY - fresh air. Since 1987 CHRY has been broadcasting programs that are current, original, fair, bold - fresh. To make their programs extra special during Fundrive, programmers will be interpreting and incorporating fresh air someway into their programming. So be sure to tune between Saturday September 25th and Sunday October 3rd on 105.5 FM or by the webcast for a brilliant nine days of original programming during the 2004 Fundrive.

Everybody who makes a donation $10 or greater will be posted a Donor Pack containing a circular CHRY fridge magnet, brand new Program Guide, and a tax receipt. For those who can afford more we have plenty of fantastic gifts. A donation of $30 or over will get you a brand new CHRY fresh air ceramic mug. $60 or over and you get a fresh air T-Shirt as well as the mug. We have guys and girls tees in all sizes. If you exceed the magic $105.5 mark then we'll put aside a fresh air hoodie and mug for you. Heavy supporters who donate $500 or more will receive all that and a very special gift. Gifts need to be picked up from the station.

This years prizes are also very exciting. In addition everybody that donates (pays up pledges of) $30 or more by 6pm Monday November 8th will be entered into the Grand Prize draw to win a trip, including accommodation to the Caribbean. As an incentive for you to pay up your pledges while they're still fresh, pledges of $30 or more that are paid by 6pm Monday October 11th will also go in the Early Bird draw for another trip, including accommodation, to the Caribbean.

By now you're probably wondering exactly how to pledge:

• Cash or Interac: CHRY 105.5 FM is located on the campus of York University. Office hours are generally 10am-6pm Monday-Friday, but we will be specially opening the office 12noon-4pm Saturday October 9th to receive pledge payments. You can get here by 106 or 196 bus from Downsview subway station, Steeles 60C and 60E bus from Finch station, the Keele 41 bus from Keele station, or the Jane Express 35E bus from Jane station during rush hours. If you're coming in by car, make sure to park in Guest parking and look for the Student Centre. CHRY is located on the 4th floor, in room 413. If you need further instructions, or have trouble locating us, give us a call during office hours at (416) 736-5293, and a CHRY volunteer or staff member will be glad to give you assistance.
• Cheque or Money Order: Simply download the Donor Form and make cheque/money-order payable to CHRY Community Radio and post to: CHRY Fundrive, 413 The Student Centre, 4700 Keele St. North York, ON. M3J 1P3.
• Credit Card: During Fundrive the request line becomes the pledge line: 416 347 5656. We accept Visa or MasterCard over the phone. Call the CHRY office at 416-736-5293 with your credit card information for instant payment. A friendly CHRY volunteer is waiting for your call.
