Welcome to CHRY 105.5 FM Toronto!

York University's Campus and Community radio station. CHRY has been part of the Toronto - North York community for over 15 years.CHRY strives to provide a voice to marginalized groups in our society. As a member station of the National Campus/Community Radio Association we are 'committed to providing alternative radio to an audience  that is recognized as being diverse in ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation, age and physical and mental ability.' CHRY strives to be a safe space by creating and maintaining an anti racist anti sexist socially sensitive organization. We offer plenty of ways for students and community members to get involved. The most popular way is to come by the office and become a CHRY volunteer. You will be given the opportunity to learn all the ins and outs of campus community radio. You can help out in the music department, where you will be among the first to hear all the new releases and get to know the industry by talking to record label reps. In the spoken word department you will learn interview skills, meet well known personalities and help out in producing a news show. You will be trained to use the production studio and will have the opportunity to join our production team and become an expert in technical sound production.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, so, come on by and get to know your radio station. We are looking forward to meeting you!
