Transportations

Public Transportation in Toronto

The Toronto public transit system is known as the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) and includes buses, streetcars and subway trains. A one-way ride on the TTC costs $2.75 (CDN), but ride tokens or tickets are available for a reduced price if bought in quantities of five or more. Day passes are also available. Getting to Ryerson University Campus

Conference events are being held in Ryerson University 's Student Campus Centre (SCC / 55 Gould Street ) and in the Roger's Communication Centre (RCC / 80 Gould Street ).

Via Car:

Ryerson University Campus is bounded by four major city streets: Gerrard (north), Dundas (south), Jarvis (east), and Yonge (west). If traveling along Highway 401 (east or west), exit at Yonge Street , drive south on Yonge, turning left (east) at Gould (no turns are permitted at Yonge and Dundas ). You are now at Ryerson. If traveling along the Gardiner Expressway (east or west), exit at Yonge Street , continue north, turn right on Gould Street . You are now at Ryerson. From Union Station (Train Hub):

If arriving via train at Union Station, follow the signs that direct you towards the Union Station Subway . Take the Yonge subway line north to Dundas Station. You are now near the southwest corner of Ryerson campus. Walk east on Dundas street and turn north at Victoria to enter campus.

From Toronto Downtown Bus Terminal:

The Toronto Bus Terminal is near the intersection of Bay and Dundas streets. If arriving via Greyhound bus, Ryerson University is 2 blocks east along Dundas . It is about a 5 minute walk.

From Pearson International Airport :

Public Transit ? The TTC Bus #192 Airport Rocket takes you directly to Kipling Station on the Bloor-Danforth Subway line (Green). According to the TTC, this bus ride averages 20 minutes. At Kipling Station, transfer to the subway and head east (this is the end of the line so the trains only go east from here). Get off at the Bloor-Yonge Station and transfer to the Yonge-University-Spadina Subway line (Yellow) heading south. Get off at Dundas Station . You are now near the southwest corner of Ryerson campus. Walk east on Dundas street and turn north at Victoria to enter campus.

Cost is $2.75 one way. Total time is about 1.5 hour.

GO Transit ? The Greater Toronto Area's regional public transit provider is GO Transit. GO features eastbound bus service from Pearson International Airport 's Terminal One to several TTC Subway stops. Transit to the subway stop nearest Ryerson, York Mills Station , costs $4.05 and takes approx. 45 minutes. Take the subway south ($2.75) on the Yonge-University-Spadina line (Yellow) until you hit to Dundas Station. You are now near the southwest corner of Ryerson campus. Walk east on Dundas street and turn north at Victoria to enter campus. Cost is $6.80 one way. Total time is about 1 hour .

Airport Express ? This commercial service provides bus transportation between Pearson International Airport and several downtown Toronto hotels. Transportation to the Bond Place Hotel, immediately south of Ryerson University Campus, is available.

Cost is $15.25 one way. Total time is about 1.5 hours .

Taxi ? A taxi fare from Pearson International Airport to downtown Toronto costs approx. $45 and takes about 45 minutes.
