Here's how it works

On admission to the University you are automatically assigned a Passport York account, with your student number as username and date of birth as password. On your first login you change these to something you prefer. Your Passport York username and password give you access to numerous online services at York, one of which is the application Manage My Services, which lets you perform a wide range of tasks, including activating and managing additional accounts. Use the button on the right of this page to get started.

Below is a list of the types of accounts available. You may have additional accounts or services available to you based on your course enrolment.

Email - A  yorku.ca email account.

FAS - File Access Service - Login to general access computers on campus.

WebCT - A web based course management application.

Manage My Services is also the tool you use to change passwords, and to cancel and temporarily close (put to sleep) accounts.

Your computing accounts expire if you are NOT enrolled in courses for the full academic year (September through April) or if you drop all of your courses during the academic year, or graduate.
