Campus Services and Business Operations (CSBO) aims to complete all projects and shutdowns work with minimal disruption to all community members. CSBO Guidelines for Notification outlines communication strategies. This procedure ensures everyone involved has the opportunity for input regarding the timing of a planned (non-emergency) shutdowns and projects. Co-operation and communication is vital in minimizing the effects of a shutdown of services.

In the case of an unplanned shutdown, CSBO support staff will follow the procedure as outlined above. However, advance notice of an emergency shutdown is minimal and can only be relayed just before or when the actual shutdown occurs. Call Work Control Centre at 22401 if you do not understand the complete impact of a shutdown involving your area. It is important that you know what will be turned off and for how long, particularly in a research environment.
