I am again honoured and humbled to be awarded, for the second year in row, the Canadian Law Blog Award (CLAWBIE) for the best law blog by a law professor in Canada! Here are all the winners and finalists. Last year, I shared the honour with Osgoode Hall’s blog The Court. This year, I share the award with the University of Alberta Law School blog.
Those are both fantastic resources that draw on a broad range of contributers across the law faculty and legal community. Mine is a more modest individual endeavor that is motivated by a desire to make the subject ‘real’ and interesting to students studying employment and labour law and industrial relations, and to build a library of material to supplement my forthcoming textbook on employment and labour law (My spouse, an intellectual property lawyer, suggests I call it “Doorey’s Workplace Law Book“). I am particularly thankful to my readers outside of the university setting, and to my Guest Bloggers, who continue to follow the blog and contribute interesting and valuable insights through comments, contributions, and emails to me.
Thanks again to all who nominated my blog this year and to Steve Mathews at STEM Legal for his great work in promoting law blogs in Canada. Congrats to the other Clawbie “winners” and “finalists” (and all other law bloggers) Here’s to 2010, onward we go …
