All submissions must be sent digitally to: existere.journal@gmail.com

Before submitting your work, please visit the Contact Us tab on the left for further instructions on email submissions.

All submissions must follow the guidelines or will not be considered for publication.

A MAXIMUM of each of the following per calendar year can be submitted:

Do NOT send us original manuscripts or artwork; send only copies. Submissions will not be returned. ALL submissions MUST be sent by email as an attachment and should come in rtf, txt, doc, PDF, or wpd format.

All submissions must be titled accordingly: Last Name, First Name – Title. Send prose pieces in separate documents. Send poetry in one document. If there is more than one poem in the document, the file should be titled: Last Name, First Name – Poems.

Note: For poetry that requires special formatting attention beyond left-justification, it is strongly encouraged that it be sent in PDF for review.

All genres and forms of art and literature are welcome including and not limited to: poetry, short plays, short stories, postcard/flash fiction, art and literature reviews, critical essays, interviews, sketches, photos, etc. Previously published work (except by special arrangement and request of Existere) is not accepted. Simultaneous submissions are accepted but MUST be noted. If your simultaneous submission is accepted elsewhere before Existere secures the right, you are required to inform us immediately so we can remove your submission from consideration
.

The following must accompany all submissions:

Once we have accepted your piece for publication or reserved it for second review (the longlist), we reserve the right of first publication until we print it, post it, hold it for next issue, or repatriate it back to the contributor. In any case, status will be communicated via e-mail promptly. If you have not heard from us after 90 days after submission, please enquire. Sometimes emails get caught in spam filters.

Copyright remains with the author(s) and artist(s), who are free to resell it after six months after publication (noting Existere as first publisher), unless granted an earlier release by the journal. Existere retains the right to reprint, to publish in electronic editions, and to include them in any anthology without further compensation.

Existere now pays a small honourarium to writers and artists upon publication. The exact rates vary by length of submission, but will include a copy of Existere (minimum).

ART SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All Art-Photography submissions should include a sample of selected works (maximum 6) sent as a compressed file, preferably JPEG, or as a link to artist's profile with specific instructions directing us to the submission. Please keep in mind higher resolution copy of your work will be requested if considered for publication. Submissions that fail to meet these guidelines will not be considered for review.

NOTE TO BOOK PUBLISHERS
Existere is always happy to receive books for review. Please note that books to be considered for any forthcoming issue should arrive at our office no later than two months before the deadline noted at the top of this page in order for us to have time to give it a look and write a review (if it is so selected).
