Movement

Assume that while you are staring at the bird, a racing car zooms by.

The image of the car will travel across your retina as indicated by the dotted line with the arrow.

This image movement will cause you to say that the car moves from your right to your left.

Now suppose you were looking at the car and followed its movement as it passes in front of you. Select next to see how that is illustrated.
