Unilever Canada Graduate Award in Environmental Studies

Purpose

The Unilever Canada Graduate Award in Environmental Studies is an annual award to support a graduate student who demonstrates a good academic record and financial need. Preference will be given to a student with an area of concentration in sustainability.

Eligibility

This award is open to all graduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University. Preference will be given to a student with an area of concentration in sustainability. Student must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and an Ontario resident.

Terms and conditions

  1. An individual student is eligible for only one Unilever Award during her/his graduate program.
  2. Applications must consist of:
    1. a two-page summary of proposed program of study;
    2. two letters of reference from faculty members in FES, which should evaluate the student in general, the proposed program of study, and its connection to the student's Plan of Study or Program Plan
  3. A recipient is required to submit a report to the Research and Awards Committee within one year of the announcement of the award. This report is to outline the progress of the program of study.

Criteria

  1. Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  2. be an Ontario resident;
  3. demonstrate financial need on a bursary application;
  4. demonstrate a good academic record.

Selection will be made by the Research and Awards Committee.
