As a MES student, you can focus your degree on planning by fulfilling the requirements of the Planning Program. Through this Program you can obtain professional certification through the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) and recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP).

FES planners understand the environment as both a dynamic system and a conceptual filter through which phenomena are viewed and approached. As such, planning in FES addresses the full range of environments (natural, built, social, organizational) and is practiced environmentally. FES faculty members and graduates make significant contributions to planning theory and practice and are active members of the planning field.
