Scholarships Awards & Bursaries
Scholarships, awards and bursaries are available on a departmental, faculty and university-wide basis.
- Student & Academic Services posts scholarships, bursaries and awards available for students within the Faculty of Fine Arts.
- Student Financial Services maintains a complete list of available university-wide scholarships, awards and bursaries. Also refer to the Scholarships, Bursaries, Awards and Prizes section of the Undergraduate Calendar for additional information about scholarships, awards and bursaries available.
Awards are made in the fall (November/December) and spring (May/June) of the academic year. The Awards Committee of the Faculty of Fine Arts Council adjudicates applications and approves nominations. Deadlines are very important when applying for scholarships, awards and bursaries.
Scholarships and awards are awarded based on skill and merit. Students are nominated by their major departments. Bursaries are based on financial need. Students apply by completing bursary application forms available from individual fine arts departments or from the Office of the Dean.
Note to scholarship/award/bursary recipients:
Regardless of the value of your award, you must pay the $450 enrolment deposit in order to ensure your registration at the University. This will allow your award to be posted to your student account. Your award will be applied directly to your student account to cover tuition fees and other expenses. Any remaining balance will be automatically refunded to you during the session. Should you subsequently withdraw from the academic term/session in which your award was made payable, the amount of this award may be reduced and a portion of it recovered.
