Winters College

Winters College is the college most closely affiliated with York’s Faculty of Fine Arts. A community of students, professors, college Fellows and administrative support staff, Winters provides both residence and commuter students with a 'home away from home' and a safe, comfortable, supportive and culturally rich environment.  Involvement in your college will enhance your university life and help you access campus services, social activities and academic help related to your area of interest.

Winters College Council, comprised of commuter and residence students, organizes social, recreational and cultural events such as intramural sports, film screenings, art exhibitions, concerts and guest speakers. The College also has its own Advising Centre where students can take advantage of the resources on hand, meet with peer advisors, and hear from student support staff on issues related to academic survival skills, career planning and personal development.
