Making it with Multimedia is a free, one-day symposium at York University exploring multimedia for live performance through the lens of design and technology.
This event addresses contemporary projection techniques for the stage through talks, workshops, panels and hands-on demonstrations with industry professionals.
- an overview of new projection technologies and practices in the field
- the impact of these technologies on the nature of the creative process and the evolving roles of artistic and technical staff
- how to maintain focus on the art and vision of a production while working through these various technologies
This is the third in a series of forums focusing on new developments in sustainable stage technology conceived by Theatre Professor James McKernan and presented by the Faculty of Fine Arts, York University.
Making it with Multimedia is presented in partnership with CITT/ICTS Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology, PRG Production Resource Group and Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
