Student & Academic Services Staff
The staff in the Faculty of Fine Arts Office of Student & Academic Services (SAS) provide advice and guidance on admissions, academic planning, petitions, student awards, certificate programs, convocation and referrals to a network of other on-campus resources and services.
Lynda Tam
Director, Academic Affairs
Lynda has overall responsibility for academic affairs in the Faculty of Fine Arts. She is responsible for initiating and facilitating research and policy development, and assessing recruitment, liaison and retention activities in order to formulate new plans, directions and strategies for the Faculty. She acts as consultant on complex advising, curricular and academic policy issues. She is responsible for the official publications of the Faculty including the Faculty of Fine Arts Admissions Handbook, the Faculty of Fine Arts section of the York University Calendar, and all Fine Arts lecture schedules. She represents the Faculty at University-wide committees relating to academic affairs, and acts as convocation director for the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Jane Skinner
Coordinator, Academic Services
Jane is the senior academic advisor for the Faculty of Fine Arts. She provides in-depth advising to all Faculty of Fine Arts students regarding degree management, enrolment, petitions, and academic decisions.
Tina Pietrangelo
Coordinator, Administrative Services
Tina coordinates on-campus visits and tours of the Faculty of Fine Arts for school groups and prospective students and their families. She is responsible for coordinating the Fine Arts Student Ambassador and Mentor Program and the Fine Arts Information Centre, a peer mentoring and resource information service. Tina coordinates recruitment and mentoring events throughout the year and first year student enrolment. Tina is the administrative coordinator for Faculty of Fine Arts undergraduate awards.
Mary Riccardi
Coordinator, Recruitment and Liaison
Mary liaises with the Office of Admissions, schools and guidance counselors regarding admissions and recruitment. She is responsible for coordinating recruitment and admissions planning for the Faculty of fine Arts. Mary is also a senior advisor providing in-depth advising to all Faculty of Fine Arts students on degree management, enrolment, transfer credit, faculty transfers, certificate programs and is the primary contact regarding degree audit and convocation.
