Supplementary Evaluation
In addition to the regular academic requirements for admission to York University, applicants to undergraduate programs in the Faculty of Fine Arts must complete a supplemental evaluation (portfolio or audition).
You must book an evaluation for each program to which you have applied - except for the following programs which do not require an supplemental evaluation:
- Visual Arts: Art History
- Film: Cinema & Media Studies
- Dance: Studies
The fee for the supplemental evaluation is $50. If you are applying to more than one program in the Faculty of Fine Arts, second and subsequent evaluations carry a fee of $25 each.

Apply for Scholarships
York University and the Faculty of Fine Arts offer an array of scholarships for incoming students. In addition to 15 Fine Arts Talent Awards of $1000, scholarships are available based on academic performance or by application. For more information, visit York University's Admissions website.
