Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies

On July 1, 2009 York University launched the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LA&PS), combining the strengths of the Atkinson Faculty of Liberal & Professional Studies and the Faculty of Arts. The new Faculty features more than 70 graduate and undergraduate programs ranging from Administrative Studies to Women’s Studies and virtually everything in between.

It is by far the largest Faculty at York University and is larger than many entire universities.

Led by inaugural dean Martin Singer, the Faculty aims to extend its tremendous influence as a champion of pioneering and socially relevant liberal arts, education, research and related professional programs.

For more information about the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies or any of its priorities for funding, please contact Tom McLagan, Chief Development Officer, LA&PS, at 416-650-8141 or tmclagan@yorkfoundation.yorku.ca.
