Faculty of Science and Engineering
The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) at York University provides an outstanding education to more than 3,500 undergraduate students and 400 graduate students in a variety of basic and applied programs.
The faculty is known for innovation through such programs as Space Engineering and Biotechnology, and offers modern labs, technology-enhanced lecture halls and significant field work opportunities. The engineering program offers three streams: Space, the only undergraduate program of its kind in Canada; Geomatics, unique in Ontario; and Computer Engineering.

TV's 'Numb3rs' highlights importance of particle physics
The DZero experiment is about finding the fundamental nature of matter, the make-up of the universe’s building blocks, and the Higgs boson – a hypothetical elementary particle, sometimes referred to as the God particle, that would help explain the mysteries of the universe and how it was created.
