Graduation Awards

ARTHUR HABERMAN AWARD
This award is made annually to a Founders College student majoring in History and/or Humanities
who has achieved the highest cumulative GPA in the major department and/or division.
No student may receive the award more than once. In order to qualify for this award, students
must have attained a minimum GPA of 6.0 (B) in their major department and/or division.

 

Awards & Scholarships During Your Academic Years

CHARLES EDWARD RATHÉ SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a Founders College student entering Year 2 of study with the highest grade
point average on the completion of 30 credits in their Year 1 of full-time study. The recipient
must register in a minimum of 24 credits in Year 2 of study.

THE ENRICA JEMMA GLICKMAN AWARD

This award will provide assistance to an Honours undergraduate Founders College student
who has an overall cumulative grade point average of 7.0 at the end of year 3 majoring in
either Humanities or Italian Studies. The recipient must be a Canadian citizen and demonstrate
financial need

FOUNDERS COCK & BULL SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to a Founders College student with the highest cumulative grade point average
on the completion of 10 courses (at least 60 credits) in the preceding two academic years.
Students must be registering in five courses (30 credits) the following September.

FOUNDERS COLLEGE COUNCIL 50TH ANNIVERSARY AWARD

This award will be awarded to students affiliated with Founders College, as it currently exists, who are

Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and residents of Ontario, who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a continuing student with a minimum of 24 credits who has a GPA of 6.0 (B), and/or who has demonstrated commitment to the Founders College

community.

LOLA HAYMAN ALUMNI BURSARY AWARD
A bursary, established to honour the memory of Mrs. Lola Hayman, is awarded annually
to a Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies student who has been a member of
Founders College for at least one year. The award will be given to a student who has demonstrated
a high level of commitment to the college, has a cumulative GPA of 6.0 (B) and
demonstrates financial need.

Awards Offered by Founders College Student Council

ATHLETE OF THE YEAR AWARD
Presented annually to the top female and top male athlete in recognition of their participation
and athletic skills in inter-college Athletics.

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO FOUNDERS LIFE AWARDS
Presented annually to one or two students in recognition of outstanding contribution to
Founders College life.

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO FOUNDERS COLLEGE LIFE
BY A FOUNDERS COLLEGE STUDENT CLUB

Presented to one or two clubs within Founders College for their outstanding contribution
to Founders College life.

PARTICIPATION AND COMMITMENT TO FOUNDERS COLLEGE
BY A GRADUATING STUDENT

Presented to a graduating student for their participation and commitment to Founders
College in their undergraduate years.

PRESIDENT’S AWARDS IN RECOGNITION OF DEDICATION TO FOUNDERS COLLEGE
Presented to a student for their outstanding dedication to Founders College, given by
Founders College Student Council President.

 

Please inquire with FCSC for a nomination package in February of 2012 to nominate student(s) you feel best fit these awards! Packages can be picked up in FC 121A. Awards are presented at our annual end of year FORMAL in March 2014!
