Fit at Founders
A new initiative introduced in the 2012-2013 Academic Session, Fit at Founders provides Founders College students the opportunity to participate in free fitness classes taught by certified instructors.
Beginning January 21, 2014 Founders Students can participate in Yoga classes every Tuesday at 5:30pm and in Muay Thai classes every Wednesday at 6:00pm.
In addition to the weekly Yoga and Muay Thai classes, monthly Pilates classes will be held on January 23rd, February 27th and March 20th, 2014.
All classes take place in The Arthur Haberman Room (023 Founders College).

Meet our Instructors
Our Yoga and Pilates Instructor is Liat Elster.
Since the age of 12, Liat Elster has been a student of the yoga tradition. She has been trained in various styles of yoga including traditional Hatha, Ashtanga, and Iyengar. Liat quest for freedom in movement has led her to another discipline: Pilates. Through Pilates and Yoga she is able to teach others how to discover, and master, their bodies. She has received training with Toronto's most senior teachers, including Ron Reid, Marla Joy, Pangaea Freespirit and Michele McLean. With an educational background in Kinesiology, and an athletic background in Olympic Lifting, Liat focuses on precise anatomical alignment and building strength in each pose, so to experience power in body, mind, and spirit.
Our Muay Thai Instructor is David Kim
David Kim is a certified assistant instructor at York Muay Thai. For the last two years he has been focussing on training others in the art of Muay Thai and helping people get stronger. He feels teaching Muay thai has deeply benefited him as a teacher, and as a person and would like to share what he has learned with others. He believes that strong minds deserve strong bodies and would like to help others accomplish this through Muay Thai.
