About the Program

The program welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds, including persons with disabilities engaged in the disability rights movement, government civil servants, professionals in the field of disability and people working in non-governmental organizations such as community organizations and advocacy groups.

 

You'll have the opportunity to become involved in Disability Rights Promotion International (DRPI), a collaborative international project working to establish a comprehensive and sustainable international system to monitor human rights issues relating to people with disabilities.

Factoid:     The University of Zagreb, Croatia, has used our program -- the first critical disability studies program in Canada -- as a model to build its own.
