Research Interests: Atmospheric Chemistry, Kinetics of Heterogeneous Reactions

Affiliations: Centre for Atmospheric Chemistry

The role of aerosol particles in the chemistry of the atmosphere. Understanding of the processes by which atmospheric particles form and grow is sought via field studies and smog chamber experiments. Measurements include the evolution of particle size distributions and the volatility and hygroscopic properties of the particles. A second area of research activity investigates chemical reactions of gases with particles to better understand how the two phases affect each other in the atmosphere.
