OGS / SSHRC / CGS

OGS/ SSHRC/ CGS INFORMATION:

Students in their fourth year of undergraduate studies who are planning to apply to a graduate programme to pursue an MA in philosophy are encouraged to consider applying to the SSHRC MA scholarship, also known as the Joseph Bombardier CGS Masters Scholarship, and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship. Both of these are prestigious awards,  and they will go a long way to covering the costs of tuition and living expenses.

Please note that at the time of applying for the SSHRC/CGS and/or OGS, you do not have to have been admitted to a
graduate programme: you apply prior to admission to a graduate programme.

SSHRC/CGS deadline to the Graduate Philosophy programme (S429 Ross) is  Wednesday, November 7, 2012, before 4:30 p.m.
OGS deadline to the Graduate Philosophy programme (S429 Ross) is  Tuesday, February 19, 2013, before 4:30 p.m.

 For OGS and SSHRC/CGS, The Grade Point Average (GPA) must be at least  A- or higher.

For Philosophy, please submit your documentation to S429 Ross before 4:30 on the deadline dates mentioned above.   

Please note: Order your transcripts as soon as possible, have them sent to S429 Ross in a sealed envelope,
please allow 2 to 3 weeks for processing. 

Request for Reference letters early and have them submitted to S429 Ross in a sealed envelope.
