OGS / SSHRC / CGS

OGS/ SSHRC/ CGS INFORMATION:

Students in their fourth year of undergraduate studies who are planning to apply to a graduate programme to pursue an MA in philosophy are encouraged to consider applying to the SSHRC MA scholarship, also known as the Joseph Bombardier CGS Masters Scholarship, and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship. Both of these are prestigious awards,  and they will go a long way to covering the costs of tuition and living expenses.

Please note that at the time of applying for the SSHRC and/or OGS, you do not have to have been admitted to a
graduate programme: you apply prior to admission to a graduate programme and, typically, given that the SSHRC and OGS deadlines are next month (October 19), prior to most graduate programme’s own admissions deadlines.

 For OGS and SSHRC, The Grade Point Average (GPA) must be at least  A- or higher.

For Philosophy, please submit your documentation to S429 Ross by Wednesday, October 19, 2011.

Note: Order your transcripts as soon as possible, have them sent to me in a sealed envelope, please allow 2 to 3 weeks for processing. 
Request for Reference letters early and have them submitted to me in a sealed envelope.
