Motion from the Graduate Students' Association:

Whereas it has been announced that several administrative bodies of York University are considering substantial changes to the structure of funding offers and sustained funding packages for York graduate students, and;

Whereas changes to the structure of graduate funding at York could potentially hold broader academic implications for graduate education at York University,

Be it resolved that the Faculty of Graduate Studies Council formally requests that the Dean of FGS (or an appropriate designate) present, in a timely fashion, the specific details of the proposed changes to the structure of graduate funding to Council, so as to allow the FGS Council to consider and discuss the nature and scope of the proposed changes.

Submitted by Phil Steinersen.
