The Joyce and Fred Zemans Scholarship at York University (a GSMP award)

Award level:  Master's or doctoral
Award value: $2,000*
Renewable: Non-renewable
Domestic/VISA: Both domestic and international students are eligible
Number of awards: Up to 3*
Eligible area of study: 1. The Graduate Program in Art History, with preference given to students in Canadian Art and/or Curatorial Studies. 2. The Schulich School of Business' MBA program, with preference given to students specializing in Arts and Media Administration. 3. The Osgoode Hall Law School's Graduate Program in Law, with preference given to students whose research focuses on Alternative Dispute Resolution or Access to Justice.
Selection criteria: (a) Graduate Student meeting the "Eligible Area of Study" criteria from each of the programs listed above; (b) Academic accomplishments.
Application / nomination package: (a) Letter of nomination from the Graduate Program Director; (b) Statement of Research; (c) CV; (d) Transcripts (from Admissions file and/or student file).
Process: The application process requires program nomination. Each eligible graduate student program will submit one nominee each for this scholarship. Note: students cannot apply directly to FGS. They must be nominated by their Graduate Program.
FGS deadline: Program nominations with complete documentation are due to Sandra Yiu in the Office of the Dean, Graduate Studies by April 1. The Faculty of Graduate Studies Awards Committee will review nominees for eligibility and post the awards.
