Please be advised that new student intake for Kinesiology & Health Science occurs only once per year, in September at the beginning of the Fall academic term.
Current Students
Minimum requirements for current York University students to be eligible to enter Kinesiology and Health Science BA and BSc degree programs:
Effective Fall/Winter 2012-2013:
Bachelor of Arts (BA) Kinesiology and Health Science: (NEW)
Admission requirements:
- One 4U math course
- One of SBI4U (biology) or SCH4U (chemistry) or SPH4U (physics)
Bachelor of Science (BSc) Kinesiology and Health Science:
Admission requirements:
- One 4U math course
- One of SCH4U (chemistry) or SPH4U (physics)
If you have not taken these courses at high school, you can take the following equivalent courses offered at York University and these will meet your admission requirements and also count towards credits required outside of your major.
- Biology: SC/BIOL 1500 3.00
- Chemistry: SC/CHEM 1500 4.00 and SC/CHEM 1509 0.00
- Physics: SC/PHYS 1510 4.00
- Mathematics: SC/MATH 1510 6.00

Grade point average requirement for BA & BSc:
Minimum requirement to be considered for BA or BSc Kinesiology & Health Science is honours standing. Please note spaces are limited. Meeting minimum requirements does not grantee successful change of program.
