Call for Abstracts

Online abstract submission

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 11:59 PM EST, Friday, June 30th 2010

Nursing professionals, allied health clinicians, researchers, and graduate students in all disciplines are encouraged to submit abstracts for symposia, workshops, individual papers, or poster presentations. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed. Areas of study findings for the conference are:  

  • Wellness and healing across the lifespan
  • From research to practice
  • Translating evidence to policy
  • Nursing education
  • Nursing leadership and practice

Abstract Guidelines

Presentation Types

  • Individual oral presentations: 20 minutes in total.
  • Symposium—group of 3 oral theme-focused presentations: 60 minutes in total.
  • Workshops: 60 minutes in total.
  • Poster presentations (will be on display throughout the day; poster presenters are required to attend their posters during refreshment breaks to answer questions).

Word limit: 250 words

Successful submissions will be from research findings that will:

  • Be relevant to clinical practice
  • Contribute to new knowledge


NOTIFICATION of ACCEPTANCE
First authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by email.

If your abstract is accepted, you or a co-author will need to register and pay for the conference in order to present your submission. If you choose not to attend, your presentation will be withdrawn. By submitting your abstract, you are granting York University School of Nursing permission to list your name and abstract in our program materials.

There is no discounted conference fee for presenters or co-presenters.
