About the Programs

York University offers four undergraduate nursing degree programs, all leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) with the degree option of Specialized Honours.

Graduates of our nursing programs will be well qualified in a wide range of nursing areas, including institutional and community settings, public health promotion, education, and program development in the rapidly growing health services and management sector.

The Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) is designed for students who have no previous nursing experience. Nursing students in this four-year degree program will select one of our collaborative partner sites - Seneca and Georgian Colleges - for the first two years of their degree followed by years three and four at York University.

2nd Entry Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) is available to students who have completed a university degree in any discipline or have 60 credits or more toward a university degree. By studying in the concentrated and continuous six semester program, nursing students can complete their BScN in two calendar years.

The Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Update: The Post-RN BScN program is permanently closed to new applicants. All current students will continue with their plans of study.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) for Internationally Educated Nurses is a program specifically designed to give internationally educated nurses the tools to practice safely and competently within the Canadian context, enabling them to obtain the Canadian credentials that they need for employment in Ontario, Canada within 20 months.
