Current Research
My research focuses on evaluating the application of Motivational Interviewing (Miller & Rollnick, 2003) for anxiety disorders, particularly generalized anxiety disorder. Psychotherapy process research is a particular focus including assessing in-session resistance and interpersonal process. Investigating client expectations for therapy process and outcome is also a focus of my research. I use both quantitative and qualitiative approaches.
