Research

Researchers in the Faculty of Health are undertaking visionary research of local, national and international significance in both basic and applied science, ranging from the biomedical to social determinants of health and from neural processes in vision to bullying behaviours in children. Our researchers hold approximately $8 million annually of externally-funded research grants.

While advancing basic research, and providing new knowledge, theories, and insight into some of the most pressing contemporary health issues, our researchers are also developing innovative applications of their knowledge, working with community and industry partners to foster real-world solutions to real-world challenges.

We are committed to research that addresses community needs. Our alliances with institutions and agencies locally and worldwide have a mutual goal of helping people live healthier lives and co-creating rejuvenated health systems.
