Degree:   Bachelor of Health Studies (BHS)
Major:   Health Policy
Stream(s):
Program Option(s):   Specialized Honours -- 120 credits
Offered by:   School of Health Policy & Management

Description:

Health care represents a major expenditure in terms of our federal and provincial budgets. However, many in the health care field propose that massive spending in infrastructure and reactive forms of health care delivery may not be the most effective use of limited resources nor the most efficient approach to promoting the health of Canadians.

In the Health Policy program, you will examine comparative approaches and outcomes in a variety of settings (public, private, not-for-profit) with the goal of developing policies that are both proactive and sustainable. While working toward your degree, you will develop the analytical framework and tools that will enable you to participate effectively in policy research, development and implementation at all levels in the health care system.
