The Development of a Sustainable, Quality e-Learning Program for the Faculties of Health and LA&PS ($200,000)

Project Lead: Susan Murtha

Colleagues in LA&PS and Health, with the support of UIT, will collaborate in the development of a systematic approach to enhancing learning through technology. Prototypes will be developed, tested and evaluated to facilitate implementation of web enhanced learning, blended learning and online education strategies, resulting in provision of support to instructors for innovative pedagogical approaches and enhanced accessibility for students.

Experiential Education

Experiential Education in the Faculty of Health: Engaging Undergraduates, Faculty and Community ($100,000)

Project Lead: Lesley Beagrie

Funding is for development of infrastructure to support experiential education in the Faculty of Health and potentially other Faculties. The Faculty will work with interested course directors to develop a series of demonstration projects, whose success will be monitored in terms of the support required for course directors and student learning. Best practices and new partnerships will be explored. Prototypes will be developed for future use and the course directors will serve as mentors.

Academic Honesty

Project Lead: Lavina Sadhwani and Agata Stypka

This video aims to highlight the importance of academic integrity and encourages open dialogue amongst faculty, staff and students at York University. Viewers can discuss the importance of academic integrity and familiarize themselves with campus resources such as writing centres, learning skills workshops and Learning Commons. In utilizing services on campus, students will be better prepared for examinations and assignments and not fall prey to breaches of academic honesty.
