Here are your personality scores relative to other students taking 2130 with me this term at York (click on the red font to get to the file.

The scores are standardized, which means that the average is zero and the standard deviation is 1. A standardized score of 2 is extremely high (98th percentile) and -2 is extremely low (3rd percentile). A score of 0 is right at the 50% percentile. A score of 1 is at the 84th percentile and -1 is at the 16th percentile.

Remember that these scales are not clinical scales. Rather, they are the kinds of personality scales that are often used in research to see how personality variable scores tend to relate to scores on other variables of interest. Your results should accordingly be taken with a grain of salt, i.e., only look at general trends across all of the scales. You could have a very low score on any one scale, for example, if you pressed all 1 or 2s for a particular scale because you were in a rush to get through. Similarly, it is possible that your scores on the Mind In Eyes test (which assesses how correctly you can discern emotions from eyes only) might be extremely low if you did not devote much effort to the task. In the same way, your implicit self-esteem and approach scores might be off if you had difficulty understanding or following the instructions.
