personal information banks
The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) defines a Personal Information Bank as "a collection of personal information that is organized and capable of being retrieved using an individual's name or an identifying number or particular assigned to the individual." Pursuant to section 45 of FIPPA, York University has made available this list of Personal Information Banks (PIBs). The PIBs are organized according to the file classes/functions in the University's Common Records Schedule (CRS).
