Lecture Capture: Faculty Experiences at York and What the Research Says
On Monday May 2, 2011, a faculty panel explored the topic of lecture capture. Lecture capture involves the recording of an instructor’s presentation and making the recording available for students on the Web. The technology is rapidly gaining a foothold in universities around the world and some faculty at York are now routinely using it. Students welcome the technology, but what are the implications for student attendance, grades, and faculty workload?
